While I know it's not terrible it's just sad that it happened. Additionally, later that day at Target (to get some Tylenol for her achy tooth) she hit her head on the cart because she swung herself into it. A month ago she gave herself a marble sized knot on the back of her head that actually bled because she hit her head on our bed frame. And of course you all remember her big ol' gash from the other week...I mean c'mon! Give a little girl and her Momma a break! Maybe it's just a toddler thing, or maybe it's a Devon thing, I don't know.
So, anyways we had an almost perfect day with Devon on her birthday. We went to the gym and she got to color a birthday picture (that's how I talked her into wanting to go). Then we went to Build a Bear where she got to make her first bear, Babs. She was super confused as to why she wasn't taking the already made bear off the display shelf but I think she realized what was going on pretty quickly.

After Build a Bear we went to lunch at Red Robin where Devon got Happy Birthday sung to her and enjoyed a yummy sundae. We headed over to Toys R Us after lunch because Devon had a gift card burning a hole in her pocket. She picked out a cute Melissa & Doug Tana grams puzzle and a little Sponge Bob Camera. After a quick stop to Target and 1 head injury later, we took the kids home for naps.
It was a really fun day and I think, all injuries aside, Devon enjoyed herself!

Sounds super fun! I wish we could do things like that around here! I don't even know where the closest build a bear would be...maybe in Denver. :)
Sorry about her chipped tooth but it does sound like a fun day!! I want to get Jazzy a build-a-bear for her birthday too.
