Christmas Eve Part 1...

We woke up on Christmas Eve day and I managed to do a class at the gym, get the kids down for an early nap, walk the dog and relax for a bit! This is a Christmas miracle all it's own. We headed over to my dad's at about 1 pm and hung out at his house until about 5:30pm. This is one of the first years we've carved out time to actually relax at his house. We are usually so rushed trying to make it everywhere that we don't get to spend much quality time with my dad, step-mom and her two kids.

We had quiche, ham, veggies, smoked salmon and bread. I love quiche and have it so rarely so this was a nice treat. Jensen was in heaven because he made a little girlfriend who just wanted to hold him the whole time. Devon ran around and played and I think she had a really fun time too. We exchanged gifts and then headed over to my mom's house (which will be Part 2). I'm so excited because my dad and step-mom got me a gift card to the Apple store so I can get an iPhone! Yay!!!! My phone is the most basic thing ever. It is a flip phone with a cracked screen. I don't even have free text messaging. I've been wanting an iPhone for quite some time but the fact that my screen cracked a month ago really sealed the deal.

It was a great kick off to our Christmas and I just really enjoyed getting to spend time with my dad's side of the family!
